With the changing in temperatures by the seasons makes a Swimming pool a very good Geothermal Source and when incorporating an evaporative cooling tower will result in a energy efficient heating and cooling solution. Utilizing the energy from the swimming pool our designed is for new construction or retro fitting.

The Swimming Pool is an excellent resource Geothermal System.

There are several options to consider on this type of installation. Let’s start with a retro fit first. The overall design is incorporating an Evaporative Subcooling Tower in to your existing swimming pool pump system. This will allow the tower to pull heat from the pool and heat the home in the winter. But at the end of summer and you are still cooling you home it will dump the heat energy into the pool and extend the pools swimming pleasure. The Heating and Air Conditioning layout is just like the residential Subcooling retro fit design. The actual installation layout will be designed by our engineer to properly fit the geographic region of the installation.

This installation may require help and assistance from a HVAC and Pool Company. This will depend on your knowledge and tools. Super Energy Efficient!

This application is designed for a simple single or multi-zone (several air handlers inside) and Several air condenser units outside in different locations. Simple Retro-Fit installation with any existing system. The tower and pump is wired 220v. What most pool pumps are wired. You must supply water to the tower and connect to our stainless steel flex 1/2” female fitting. PVC glue the 2 pipes from the pump housing to the Evaporative Subcooling tower. WSHP Forced air systems do not require an outside condenser unit. All-in-one packaged unit.

Placement Planning:

 

Our Evaporative Fluid Cooler may be installed remotely, away from the loop. This choice may require a Flow Switch (supplied). This flow and temperature control will turn on/off Tower pump and fan. Recommended to be placed by the Swimming Pool pump system.

 

Water access needs to be considered. You will be connecting into a ¾ stainless steel standard female thread fitting.

 

Ball valve is in place to divert flow to the tower from the loop.  The tower should be able to handle all of the flow or you can open the valve a little bit to allow water to by pass the tower if the tower restricts the flow too much.  Just open the by pass ball valve little by little so most of the flow goes to the tower.
